Cell Therapies in Clinical Trials: Moving the Needle Forward
The ultimate goal of Breakthrough T1D’s Project ACT (Accelerate Cell Therapies) is a future in which manufactured islet therapies exist in large supply, survive, and produce insulin in the body after implantation, and remain protected from the immune system. There are several up-and-coming cell therapies in the clinical pipeline and working their way towards the market, including many that Breakthrough T1D has contributed to. Learn more.

The Breakthrough T1D Northern California Chapter hosts monthly E-Meet & Greets for all ages and stages of T1D and caregivers. Additionally, we offer “Ask the Endo” and “Ask the Therapist” sessions, as well as a T1D and Neurodivergent Support Group and the Spanish-speaking community—all on Zoom.
