About
Are you an adult living with type 1 diabetes who’s looking for support, education, and community? You’re not alone — and you don’t have to manage this journey by yourself. Join our new local group created specifically for adults living with type 1 diabetes in the Sacramento/Roseville area. This group is a space to connect, learn, and grow — with access to resources, discussions, and most importantly, people who care about what you’re going through.
My name is Megan, and I’ve been a Registered Nurse for almost 15 years, providing diabetes education and care for the past five. Over the past year, I’ve seen a real need for more support tailored to adults with type 1 diabetes especially in the Sacramento area, beyond doctors visits and quick check-ins.
This group will provide:
- Community support in a welcoming, non-judgmental environment
- Education on insulin therapy, CGM technology, nutrition, exercise, and more
- Occasional guest speakers and Q&A opportunities
- News on the latest tech and tools to help you stop surviving diabetes and start thriving with it
Let’s come together, support one another, and show how strong our type 1 diabetes community truly is — not just for awareness, but for hope, empowerment, and a better quality of life while we wait for a cure. We’d love to have you join us!
