Virtual Event: Teen Volunteer Opportunity

Share stories, ask questions, and hear from our guest speaker, Hailie Huntley! Hailie is a college student living with type 1 diabetes currently working toward her degree in Food and Nutrition. For her degree, Hailie is required to do a presentation and has chosen to focus on teens ages 12-17 living with T1D (presentation will be recorded). We are organizing this virtual opportunity for teens to earn volunteer hours and connect with each other! Please review the important details below and agenda for the event.

Important Details:

• Event will take place on Zoom. Link will be sent to all registrants 1-2 days prior to event.
• Teens attending must be 12-17 years old and we are happy to offer 5 hours of volunteer credit for anyone who attends as you are participating in Hailie’s course project.
• Along with the Zoom link participants will be sent a worksheet to complete and submit with a feedback survey after the event.
• Parents/guardians are welcome to sit on as well.
• Max participants is 25. If we reach capacity please reach out to Casey at CRadcliffe@BreakthroughT1D.org to be placed on a waitlist.
• All participants MUST have a parent/guardian register them via the Sign Up Genius link on the “Register” button. This ensures completion of the volunteer waiver and release to being recorded.
