Citizens has expanded into the Florida market and Adrian Nu\u00f1o, SVP of Corporate Banking \u2013 Central &amp; North Florida, introduced Citizens to Breakthrough T1D\u2019s mission as his son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) 11 years ago at just 18 months old.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiving back and supporting local nonprofits is at the heart of Citizens\u2019 Credo\u201d said Adrian Nu\u00f1o, Citizens SVP of Corporate Banking \u2013 Central &amp; North Florida, \u201cI\u2019m thrilled that we\u2019re able to be a part of Breakthrough T1D\u2019s 20<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary and help the organization, which has meant so much to me and my family, and continue to make an impact in the lives of so many affected by type 1 diabetes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This will be the first year that Citizens will serve as Presenting Sponsor of Breakthrough T1D\u2019s annual gala. \u201cWe are incredibly grateful for Citizens support,\u201d says Colleen Saca, Breakthrough T1D Northern Florida Executive Director. \u201cCommunity partners like this ensure we can continue accelerating life changing breakthroughs to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Breakthrough T1D Northern Florida, formerly JDRF, invites guests to gather on November 2 for the 20<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary Gala to raise critical funds for T1D.
