Team Spotlight: Natalie’s Ninjas

in

Janelle Semmel is the Team Captain of Natalie’s Ninjas.  She is the proud mother of Natalie Semmel, who was diagnosed with T1D in 2011 at the age of 11.  Natalie’s Ninjas has raised over $1,300 for this year’s walk.  To raise money, Janelle has utilized Facebook to promote her team!  Janelle says “I have been amazed and humbled because most of the people that have donated, are people that I have known since high school or grade school…  I haven’t even seen them in 20 years and most of them have never even met my daughter Natalie.  I post a lot about Natalie on facebook because I’m proud of how she has handled her diagnosis.  It has NEVER stopped her from what she loves to do.  She loves sports so she does everything the way she needs to so that her diabetes doesn’t keep her from softball, basketball and track.   She’s my hero!!!  She loves doing the walk because it helps her feel like she’s helping find a cure for T1D”.  Congratulations to Natalie’s Ninjas on their success!  Keep up the great work.
