Breakthrough T1D Greater Dallas is honored to announce the appointment of Dr. Stephen Newman to the Breakthrough T1D International Board of Directors.  Steve is the retired COO for Tenet Healthcare Corporation. Steve and his wife Debbie have been involved with Breakthrough T1D since their daughter Emily was diagnosed with T1D in 1983 at age five. The Newmans have been an integral part of the chapter giving their time, resources and words of encouragement from the moment they arrived.

Steve’s wife, Debbie currently serves on the Local Chapter Board of Directors and the couple graciously served as the 2013 Dream Gala Fund A Cure Chairs.  For those of you who know Steve and Debbie, they always greet you with a smile and a willingness to assist when needs arise – no matter how large or small.  Congratulations Dr. Newman!
