We had 75 children who live with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and their siblings attend Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassador Training, sponsored by OmniPod! They practiced public speaking, learned about T1D and Breakthrough T1D facts, and practiced their Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassador introduction to help spread awareness about T1D. Marty Turco, President of the Dallas Stars Foundation, attended and welcomed all ambassadors to their new role with Breakthrough T1D. Children chatted with Marty about his career as a Dallas Star, and the Dallas Stars generously provided complimentary skating after the training! It was a fantastic day of watching all of these young people connect with each other and inspire one another! #JDRFYouthAmbassadors #T1DChampions
