Volunteer Appreciation

in

We are so proud of our wonderful volunteers that are always there for us. We cannot do the work that we do without the support of our hardworking volunteers. Here are a few from our chapter that we want to thank:

Anne Kennon – Dallas

Anne is a dedicated volunteer, coming into the office to help each and every week. Her grandson Adam lives with T1D and she supports Breakthrough T1D in honor of him. Anne is also a member of the chapter’s One Society and attends all of the chapter events.

Andrew and Lindsay Carrier – Fort Worth

The Carriers are dedicated supporters of Breakthrough T1D as their daughter, McKinley, lives bravely with T1D.  The Carriers are the leaders of their community’s One Walk Team (Team Argyle), Andrew fundraises with Team Breakthrough T1D and represents Breakthrough T1D in the NY City Marathon, and Lindsay is the author of “Giving Life My Best Shot”- a book for children living with T1D where all proceeds benefit Breakthrough T1D.  Thank you, Andrew and Lindsay!

Medora Koenig – Dallas

As T1D Connections chair, Medora is a committed volunteer for our chapter, coming in weekly to support the Community Engagement work. She also took on the NY City Marathon with her entire family raising over $20,000 for Breakthrough T1D. Medora supports Breakthrough T1D in honor of her son Collin who lives with T1D.

Kemper Health – Oklahoma City

The Kemper Cares group from Kemper Health are rockstar volunteers! We are so grateful for the support Kemper gives to the Breakthrough T1D. Their employees have wonderful hearts and work so hard to help make our gala a success!

Linda Graham – Dallas

Linda has been a faithful volunteer, coming into the office every week for over nine years! She generously helps with just about everything in the office, with meticulous attention to detail. She and her husband are part of our One Society and support of all of our events each year. The Graham’s have three T1D family connections.

The Howard Family

Rob and Sonja Howard are incredible and compassionate supporters of our Breakthrough T1D Chapter!  Rob serves on the Breakthrough T1D Fort Worth Board of Directors, Sonja spearheads their Breakthrough T1D One Walk team “Jada’s Jellybeans”, and Jada is a member of the Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassador Program. The Howards use every opportunity to educate people about T1D and to share the mission of Breakthrough T1D!

Victoria Seitz – Dallas

Victoria enthusiastically volunteers her time and talents by coming into the office each week to tackle the challenging projects, including organizing Gala Auction. Victoria also volunteers at many of our events and is part of our One Society. Victoria’s grown daughter Lizzy lives with T1D.
