About

I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) on July 3, 2021, at age 11, and ever since then my family and I have proudly supported Breakthrough T1D. Breakthrough T1D is both a valuable resource and a beacon of hope for everyone in the T1D community. Without the support of my family, friends, and access to incredible technology and healthcare providers, managing T1D would be much more difficult.

My family has gotten very involved with the New York City Chapter. My mom has served as gala co-chair for the past two years (and again this year for her 3rd year!), and this summer, I’ve had the opportunity to intern with the chapter myself. It’s been an incredible experience, and I’ve loved learning firsthand about the impact Breakthrough T1D makes.

On August 29, I will be running the Sloth Half Marathon along the Hudson River Trail with my dad to support those living with T1D who do not have access to the resources I am fortunate enough to have.

Your support would mean so much to me and to everyone in the T1D community.
