Your Guide to Beat the Bridge Morning: What to Expect!

Start your morning right by fueling up with coffee and gearing up with your race bibs—it’s time to get pumped at the starting line! Mountlake Blvd will be exclusively yours by 7:30 AM, so lace up those sneakers and get ready for the main events! Whether you’re tackling the 8K Race (to “Beat the Bridge”), enjoying a leisurely 3 Mile Walk, or sprinting in the 1 Mile Fun Run, there’s fun in store for everyone as you navigate through the scenic University of Washington campus and onto Husky Field.

Celebrate crossing the finish line and achieving your fundraising goals towards a world without T1D! Visit vendor booths to learn more about cutting-edge research and technology and meet other awesome partners supporting the T1D community. Be sure to check out the Family Teams Tent to join other families for arts and crafts, a bounce house, and more!

Stay tuned for the main stage presentation where we will congratulate the 8K race winners and introduce some extraordinary Beat the Bridge champions. This year, we’re introducing an exciting addition – the T1D Parade. Our remarkable T1D warriors will be invited to assemble based on how long they’ve lived with T1D and proudly walk across the stage, cheered on by all! Look for T1D devices and bandanas as we shine a spotlight on our heroes!

Last, but certainly not least, we’ll end the morning with our Diaper Derby! After watching the little ones crawl across the finish line, make your way up to the Concourse and enjoy some light snacks!

We can’t wait to see you on May 19th for an awesome day celebrating YOU and all you have done to help Turn Type One into Type None! If you haven’t registered yet, get registered today at beatthebridge.org to be a part of all of the fun and excitement leading up to Beat the Bridge.
