About

Join us on Wednesday, June 18th at 6:00pm MT at the Boise Public Library for an insightful research update!

During this session, our Mission Information Volunteers, Mark Smith, Ph.D. and Laura Tremblay, MD, will discuss how groundbreaking clinical trials and innovative therapies are accelerating progress toward cures and improving life with T1D.

Mark, driven by his several family member’s T1D connection, earned a Ph.D. in Biomolecular Science to better understand the root causes and consequences of T1D and has been very involved with Breakthrough T1D’s Walk program for over 20 years. Laura, a physician and T1D parent, volunteers in multiple research focused roles, in addition to her Mission Information Volunteer also serves as a Clinical Trial Education Volunteer to help others stay informed about clinical trials and advancing care. Together, they will offer valuable insight to the latest research and progress toward cures.

While children are welcome to attend, please note that this event is geared toward an adult audience. Light snacks and drinks will also be provided!

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the local T1D community, gain insights into groundbreaking clinical trials and emerging therapies, and hear from two committed volunteers about the progress we are making in T1D research.  You can RSVP here or using the button below.
