Top researchers and physicians will present the latest breakthroughs in T1D research. Local experts will lead inspiring and informative breakout sessions and there will be ample opportunity to connect with other T1D families, learn about the latest product technology, and discover new community resources. Lunch is included.
T1D Teen Program & Lunch 11:00am-2:15pm
Teens, ages 13-18, with type 1 diabetes* have the opportunity to meet each other and share the challenges and successes of managing T1D. Small-group discussions on teen-specific topics will be led by a group of healthcare professionals and a panel of young T1D adults.
** In order to have the most effective program as possible, we ask that all participants are within the age range of 13-18 and have type 1 diabetes. Siblings that do not have type 1 diabetes over the age of 13 are welcome to volunteer in the Kids Zone, please contact us for more details 206-708-2240. Pre-teens with type 1 diabetes are welcome to participate in their age group (10-12) in the Kids Zone.
Kids Zone 8:30AM-3:30pm
Kids, ages 4 and older, (must be pottytrained!) can join volunteers from Camp Leo and Breakthrough T1D for a day of fun and education.
