But 50 years of T1D research has led us to this pivotal moment &#8211; we know what cures are going to look like and the steps required to make them a reality.<\/p>\n<p>Everything we\u2019ve learned in the past 50 years informs Breakthrough T1D\u2019s research strategy. Created by Breakthrough T1D scientists, vetted with external experts and approved by a board of volunteers, all of whom have a personal connection to T1D, this strategy is our plan for making the biggest possible difference in the fight against T1D in the next 5 years. From delaying or stopping the progress of T1D altogether to advancing a \u201cfirst in human\u201d cell therapy to improving outcomes for people with T1D and reducing barriers to access and care, no organization does more for T1D research advancements than Breakthrough T1D.<\/p>\n<p>But how do we accelerate more research? <strong>Our community rallies to Fund A Cure.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fund A Cure<\/strong> is the pinnacle of every Breakthrough T1D Gala Signature Event, and in the Mountain West Chapter, it\u2019s a cherished celebration! Ask any of the Gala volunteer leaders, sponsors and supporters &#8211; as we move forward with planning our return to the ballroom on Friday, April 21, 2023 it\u2019s the <strong>Fund A Cure<\/strong> opportunity that we\u2019re most excited about!<\/p>\n<p>Did you know that 100% of <a href=\"https:\/\/jdrf-mountainwest.ejoinme.org\/MyEvents\/2023JDRFDreamGala\/Registration\/tabid\/1302669\/Default.aspx\">your <strong>Fund A Cure<\/strong> contributions<\/a> go right to our mission? Every single dollar of your Fund A Cure gift drives progress for the people we love living with T1D.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s some important information to know about <strong>Fund A Cure<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Between now and April 11, 2023 (10 days before Gala!), <strong>Fund A Cure<\/strong> donors who give <strong>$500 or more<\/strong> will be featured on our Wall of Hope, both on our website and at the event.<\/li>\n<li>NEW this year:<strong> we will be featuring your Fund A Cure gift in a special tribute video that will be premiering in the ballroom!<\/strong> This video will highlight who your gift is in honor or in memory of, along with a quote from our <strong>Fund A Cure<\/strong> donors.\n<ul>\n<li>Want your T1D story included in the video?
