Hop onto our \u201cAsk the Therapist\u201d session with Dr. Beth Braun. Dr. Braun is a health psychologist specializing in diabetes management<\/a>, nutrition, and behavior modification for over 25 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

T1D Teen Connect<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

Do you have a teenager living with type 1 diabetes? The Young Leadership Committee (a Breakthrough T1D group of young adults living with T1D) will be hosting a free virtual Zoom session for T1D Teens! This will be a safe place for teens to speak freely with young adults about the challenges and triumphs of living with T1D. These sessions will help T1D teens feel more confident about growing up with T1D. (Please note: this session is specifically for teens ages 13 \u2013 19. We ask that young children and parents refrain from joining this call).<\/span><\/p>\n

T1D Dad\u2019s Barbershop Talk<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

During and after the shock of being told your kid is diabetic, during and after the steep learning curve of medical needs and advocacy, during and after the attempt to find a new routine, it is always hard to find support as a dad \/ man of a T1D child. Most support groups will be composed of moms and it can be lonely being the only dad. This discussion will be open to any relevant topics to support each other. No judgment. No stupid question. No off-the-table topic. All we ask is to respect others, understand we are not all at the same level of comfort in sharing, and privacy matters.<\/span><\/p>\n

This event repeats every three months on the 2nd Friday of the month from 12-1 p.m. Pacific Time<\/span><\/p>\n

T1D Partner Support Group<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

Are you a partner, relative, spouse, or significant other of someone living with T1D? Helping support someone living with T1D comes with its own set of unique challenges. Come join the T1D partner community at our bimonthly virtual meet ups to hear from others, share advice, and receive support. Special speakers will present on specific topics, such as: sick day management, meal planning, mental support, hypoglycemia management, and more!<\/span><\/p>\n

Grandparents E-Meet & Greet (Meets Quarterly)<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

Join us for our Grandparents E-Meet & Greet virtual session! Each session is hosted by Dr. Saleh Adi, an amazing and informative endo who is available to answer your many questions.<\/p>\n

Dr. Adi is a pediatric endocrinologist. He is the Founding Director of the Madison Clinic for Pediatric Diabetes at UCSF. Dr. Adi is recently retired and now dedicates his time to various volunteer activities.<\/p>\n

Whether you have a question about type 1 diabetes (T1D) technology, carb counting, or how to care for your grandchild when they visit, Dr. Adi can help! Meet other Grandparents who can share support T1D while you learn about the latest in research, technology, and resources.<\/p>\n

This event repeats the 2nd Tuesday every three months from 12-1 p.m. The dates for 2026 are: February 10, May 12, August 11 and November 10.<\/p>\n
