Abbott Acquires Bigfoot Biomedical<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Abbott has completed the acquisition of Bigfoot Biomedical, maker of Bigfoot Unity, a smart insulin management system that features the first FDA-cleared connected insulin pen caps that turn data from a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) into clear and reliable insulin dosing recommendations displayed right on the insulin pen cap. Bigfoot is led by former Breakthrough T1D CEO Jeffrey Brewer, and the Breakthrough T1D T1D Fund invested in Bigfoot.\u00a0Read the press release<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n

Spanish Language T1D Clinical Trial Search Tool Now Available<\/strong><\/p>\n

Breakthrough T1D has partnered with Antidote and Beyond Type 1 to launch the first-ever Spanish language clinical trial search tool for people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). This tool will make it easier for Spanish-speaking members of the T1D community to find and enroll in clinical trials, and help drive research progress forward.\u00a0Learn more<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n

Breakthrough T1D Advocates in Action Council (AAC) Now Accepting Applications for 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0 Breakthrough T1D Advocates in Action Council (AAC) is a group of young adults, ages 18-26, who are business professionals, community leaders, and engaged students. These up-and-comers actively support the advancement of Breakthrough T1D\u2019s advocacy priority areas, spread awareness of T1D within their communities, and inspire young people to use their voices and share their stories with key decision makers.
