This signature event brings together philanthropy and business leaders from across San Antonio and South-Central Texas, raising over $1.7 million in 2025\u00a0to advance type 1 diabetes research and support.  The weekend begins Friday at the Hill Country Golf Club with the Stratton Scramble, founded by local philanthropist, physician, and T1D, Dr. Cary Stratton. Since its inception, this tournament has raised more than $1 million. Hosted on the Arthur Hills\u2013designed 27-hole course, the Scramble features lunch, on-course beverages, and a lively evening reception.  On Saturday, guests will gather in the ballroom for San Antonio\u2019s premier black-tie event the Breakthrough T1D Promise Ball - License to Cure (James Bond) is chaired by Natalie and Tom Mroz and will feature a cocktail hour, dinner and program, exciting live auction, and after-party entertainment.  We are honored to recognize the Diabetes &amp; Glandular Disease Clinic and Dr. Mark Kipnes\u00a0at this year&#039;s event for their unwavering support of the San Antonio diabetes community. Through patient care and groundbreaking research, DGD and Dr. Kipnes are trailblazers in creating a world without type 1 diabetes.
