Join the Northern Midwest Territory, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, for a one-hour opportunity to connect with others living with Type 1 diabetes and learn from staff at Melrose Center about navigating holidays, celebrations, and other food-centered occasions with confidence. Discussion topics will include managing blood glucose around carbohydrate-rich meals, reducing the stress and guilt that can accompany food choices, and preventing extreme highs and lows while still enjoying meaningful traditions. Staff will share practical strategies for balancing diabetes management with a flexible, recovery-oriented approach to eating, helping participants foster a healthier relationship with food and their diabetes. There will be ample time for questions and open discussion.
