Your registration is your doorway into a ride experience unlike any other. With our stunning destination rides across the country, you&#8217;ll have the chance to join fellow riders for an unforgettable weekend experience.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next few weeks, we&#8217;ll be sharing stories of riders from our team and why they ride! Here&#8217;s Sarah&#8217;s story:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/southeastwi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/177\/2022\/05\/Sarah-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7916 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/southeastwi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/177\/2022\/05\/Sarah-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"371\" height=\"248\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/southeastwi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/177\/2022\/05\/Sarah-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/southeastwi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/177\/2022\/05\/Sarah-2-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><\/a> Provide a short intro of yourself, T1D journey and connection to Breakthrough T1D.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I am Sarah Meidl. \u00a0My daughter, Meredith, was diagnosed with T1D when she was 2 years old. \u00a0That was in 2008. \u00a0I have been involved with Breakthrough T1D since about a week after her diagnosis when we received our Bag of Hope.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why did you first decide to participate in Ride?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I first signed up for the ride because I wanted to do something that I never thought I\u2019d be able to do. \u00a0And I wanted to challenge myself with fundraising goals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the most rewarding aspect of participating in the Ride?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The most rewarding aspect of riding is meeting the other incredible people who ride. \u00a0Each one has a unique story and is inspiring. Every Ride brings new challenges and rewards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As we go back to in-person events, what are some of your highlights throughout Ride weekend that you are looking forward to?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seeing all of the amazing riders from across the county and being together for one unified cause.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why would you encourage others to join the Ride to Cure Diabetes?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Because being part of something that is bigger than you is absolutely amazing!!! \u00a0And, no matter how far you decide to ride, you will be successful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2022 Ride season is upon us and we are so excited to be back in-person this year!
