The ups and downs of life are hard enough, but throw Type One Diabetes in the mix and you are in for a ride with many twists and turns. Whether it is you or someone you love who has been diagnosed with Type One Diabetes, we want you to know you are not alone. Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital’s Community Education Department is starting up a Type One Diabetes Support group called “Type ONE-Derful”. This group is led by a Public Health Educator, who has had Type One Diabetes herself for twenty years.
Come connect and meet others living with Type One Diabetes who understand your struggles and frustrations with this disease. Family and caregivers are welcome to join. You are not alone! We are here to encourage, guide, and support you through your journey of Type One Diabetes. Each session we will cover new topics, relate to personal experiences, and learn about ways we can tackle Type One Diabetes head on. Meetings take place every 2nd Wednesday of the month, starting July 10.
