In-person TON Summits are single-day educational and networking opportunities for the T1D community. The summits bring together T1D experts to share knowledge on the latest treatments, research advancements, and the psycho-social aspects of living (and thriving!) with T1D. Summit events are designed for all ages and stages of T1D and offer keynote speakers, inspirational updates, breakout sessions, and vendor exhibitions.
Children’s Corner: Igniting Interactive Learning for Young Warriors!
Attention parents and guardians: To ensure that our young warriors with type 1 diabetes make the most of their time at the summit, we have curated a special section exclusively for them – the Children’s Corner.While you engage in the insightful breakout sessions led by renowned experts in the field, our team will provide an interactive, tailored educational experience for your children. Through engaging activities, games, and age-appropriate discussions, Breakthrough T1D Staff will cover topics such as carb counting, healthy eating, navigating school and T1D, complications of poorly controlled type 1 diabetes, and exercise and T1D. Here, they will have the opportunity to learn and connect with fellow T1D champions in a fun-filled environment, surrounded by peers who share similar experiences.
