I was diagnosed in February 1991, but T1D had been part of my life long before that. My father lived with the disease for more than 60 years. Through both his journey and my own experiences, I\u2019ve learned that diabetes is an everyday responsibility, with no holidays or days off.    I am deeply grateful for the support of organizations like Breakthrough T1D and for my family, who have supported me every step of the way.  That support has strengthened my commitment to improving the lives of those living with T1D today and in the years ahead. Breakthrough T1D is driving real progress through research, clinical trials, and innovation that are improving tools and treatments now while accelerating the path toward a cure. I truly believe that within the next decade, there will be a workable cure for everyone, and Breakthrough T1D is central to that progress.    I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a T1D Outreach Ambassador, connecting weekly with people who are newly diagnosed to offer support and resources. I am also honored to serve on the Board of Breakthrough T1D Tennessee and to contribute financially.
