We’re excited to announce that the Breakthrough T1D One Walk, in partnership with Ford Motor Company, will be running a National Acceleration Campaign from September 6th (9am) \u2013 Sept 7th(Midnight).<\/p>\n

There are two ways to \u201caccel\u201d your walk fundraising!<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. The first 500 teams that register for the One Walk in any Breakthrough T1D walk location during the campaign, the team captain will receive a $100 donation<\/strong> to \u201ckick start\u201d their fundraising efforts and automatically earn this year\u2019s walk shirt!<\/p>\n

2. When a walker raises $25 online during this time, Ford Motor Company will match $25<\/strong> (up to $20,000 nationwide). So, if you have 4 walkers on your team and they each raise $25 during the campaign- your team will receive $100 total from Ford! There is a max $25 match for each registered walker.<\/p>\n

PLUS – The top three Breakthrough T1D chapters with the most registrations and the most donations during the campaign will receive an additional $5,000 from Ford! <\/strong>Go Western & Central PA & West Virginia!<\/p>\n

The Ford Global Action Team was established in 1998 with Edsel B. Ford II as the Executive Champion. Today, Mr. Ford continues to lead the effort in honor of his son, Albert, who has been living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) for over 25 years. We\u2019re so thankful for everyone at Ford Motor Company who will stop at nothing until we have cures for everyone impacted by T1D.<\/p>\n
