We’re thrilled to invite you and your whole family to join us for a day packed with connection, fun, and inspiration at our T1D Family Day brought to you by Sub Zero Wolf Foundation. We will all hear from our keynote speaker, Michael Hunter, the world’s first airshow performer living with T1D. Michael is the first (and remains the only) airshow performer in the world with T1D. He is also the founder of the Flight for Diabetes organization benefiting children with diabetes. Full bio.













Jennifer Smith, RD, LD, CDCES

Jennifer has lived with type 1 diabetes since she was a child, is a long distance runner, 70.3 triathlete, and mother of 2 boys. In addition to her many accreditation’s & contributions to the diabetes community, Jennifer provides educational content on the “Juicebox Podcast.” Full bio.







Rachel Fenske, PhD, RDN, CD, LDN

Rachel, a T1D herself, is a Clinician Scientist who works as a Registered Dietitian on the Pediatric Diabetes Team at UWHealthKids. Rachel is involved with the team’s quality improvement initiatives that seek to identify ways to advance care for patients and families. Full bio.






Jenny Anderson, T1D Mom

Jenny is a T1D mom whose son was diagnosed in the middle of COVID. Since his diagnosis, Jenny has immersed herself in research and involvement in the diabetes community. Jenny is passionate about connection and helping other parents navigate the day-to-day of type 1 diabetes. Full bio.






Jeanne Grist, Professional Life Coach & T1D Mom

Jeanne is an ICF Professional Certified Life Coach, ACC, Certified Yoga Instructor, Meditation Instructor, Running, Biking and Nordic Skiing Coach. While earning her B.A. degree from Marquette University, she began working in the Health and Wellness field and has continued this passion for over 40 years.
