On Saturday, March 7, 2026, our family will be honored at the Breakthrough T1D Gala at the Italian Community Center. It feels both humbling and meaningful to be recognized, especially when we think about how much love and support, we’ve had from all of you since the beginning of Kiley’s journey with type 1 diabetes.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 12 years since Kiley’s diagnosis. At just 14, she showed strength and determination that continues to inspire us every single day. Now at 26, she is thriving, not only managing her own T1D with such grace, but also giving back as a ride coach for the Breakthrough T1D 100-mile rides, encouraging others to believe in themselves and in the possibility of a cure.

This honor isn’t just about our family—it’s about all of you, too. You’ve cheered us on, lifted us up, and walked alongside us through the ups and downs. Your encouragement, generosity, and kindness have carried us through, and we truly couldn’t have done it without you.

The Gala will be a night filled with hope, community, and inspiration, and it would mean the world to us to have you there as we celebrate not only Kiley’s story, but the incredible progress being made in the fight to end T1D.
