Our speaker will be Ryan Degroff. When Ryan was diagnosed at age 8, he was told he would not be able to complete in competitive sports. From that point he was determined not to let diabetes stop him from doing the things he loved. After high school Ryan joined the staff at Children with Diabetes.
Ryan will speak on: how to educate/communicate with both coaches and players of school organized sports about the management of T1D.
We are a group of parents who have children with T1D. Group members are there to support one another as we face daily struggles and tackle new challenges. Feel free to bring young children with you and contact us if you have any questions or topic suggestions.
