Breakthrough T1D joined the United for Cures coalition, representing 47 health and research organizations, in a letter to House Appropriations Committee leaders urging strong federal funding for medical research in the Fiscal Year 2026 budget.

Federal research investments have delivered real progress for people living with type 1 diabetes, including the development of continuous glucose monitors and automated insulin delivery systems. They are also accelerating progress toward life-changing therapies and cures.  Cuts to research funding would slow clinical trials and delay the breakthroughs families urgently need.

Breakthrough T1D is proud to stand with the United for Cures coalition to ensure Congress understands what is at stake. We will continue to advocate for strong and sustained research funding to accelerate the path to better treatments and cures for T1D.
