About
Connect with other T1D teens and hear from special guests on this virtual call series! This April, we welcome Austin Colish.
Austin is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, specializing in working with and the treatment of athletes coming back from season ending injuries such as ACL ruptures. He also serves as the director of the Athletes with Diabetes program as part of the Callum and Jake Robinson Foundation. With his experience of living with T1D for 22 years and his background in coaching and sports rehab, he aims to elevate the voices of other athletes living with T1D to show that diabetes does not limit performance. He hosts an online video series called “Type One Talks” where various individuals in sports share their perspectives and strategies living with T1D. Alongside the CJRF, Austin also hosts an annual diabetes advocacy field day to help break the stigma of living with T1D, honor the memory of Callum Robinson and develop awareness via storytelling. Follow him at @LaxRehab and the CJRF at @CJRFoundation on Instagram.
