Our Breakthrough T1D Children’s Congress delegates, Zoey and Jameson, have returned from a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the Nation’s capital, where they joined more than 160 children to advocate for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

Zoey and Jameson met celebrity T1D role models and attended a Senate hearing on Capitol Hill for the Special Diabetes Program (SDP), which provides $150 million annually towards T1D research and is essential to Breakthrough T1D’s mission to create a world without T1D.  They also urged Representatives and Senators to make insulin more affordable, urged the elimination of rebates, which make up approximately 70% of insulin costs and shared their stories with our representatives.
