Ace for a Cure is a grass court tennis event like no other! This round robin, doubles format tennis event is played on the beautiful grounds of the Germantown Cricket Club. Morning tennis is followed by a luncheon, raffle and awards for Flight winners.
All levels of play are welcomed to attend, and doubles players are divided into two levels: Flight A (4.0 and above) and Flight B (3.5 and below). Proceeds from the event benefit Breakthrough T1D.
Rain date is Friday, June 14, 2019.
Ace for a Cure began in 2005 at Germantown Cricket Club in Philadelphia, created by Timmi and Jim Vesci, whose daughter has type 1 diabetes. The Vesci Family wanted to rally their tennis community together and raise much-needed research funds for Breakthrough T1D. The tournaments have since expanded to include events at some of the country’s most distinguished cricket clubs.
