With two training ride distances to choose from, and a relaxed (family friendly) potluck following the rides, this is THE way to kickoff your training season. Whether you’ve ridden with Breakthrough T1D in the past, are riding this year, or are curious to learn more about Breakthrough T1D Ride, join us for a day of fun with friends!

When you RSVP, please select the option(s) that best apply to you and your guests. For example, if you are planning to ride 40 miles, are not currently registered for Breakthrough T1D Ride, and plan to bring a friend or family member who is not planning to ride, please select one “Non-Breakthrough T1D Rider 40 mile” and one “Non-Breakthrough T1D Rider, potluck only”!

If you are planning to ride, please note the following:

• Helmet required.
• No earphones allowed.
• Calling “Clear” is Now Prohibited. (Each rider is personally responsible for verifying that the way is indeed clear.)
• If you are not a currently registered Breakthrough T1D Rider, we will have you sign a waiver prior to the ride.
• Minors must have a release waiver form signed by a parent.
• Follow the NJ Vehicular Law – a bike is a vehicle.
• Use hand signals to indicate stops and turns.
• Always ride on the right as required by law. Can ride in the left lane of a one-way street which contains two or more lanes or when bike lane is marked on left side of street.
• Each rider assumes his or her own risk on all rides.
• Those who ride ahead of the group are on their own ride.
• Always notify the ride leader when leaving the group.
• Ride should adhere to the advertised speed of the ride.
