The Breakthrough T1D Greater New England Chapter is proud to be a member of 2025 Bank of America Boston Marathon® Official Charity Program. Through this program, we are pleased to be able to offer our supporters a limited number of entries into the 129th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Applications to join the Breakthrough T1D Boston Marathon team will be accepted now through Friday, November 15, 2024. To submit an application, please visit: bit.ly/2025-BreakthroughT1D-Boston.

The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) supports selected nonprofit organizations that strengthen our local community and provides these organizations with a significant fundraising opportunity. In 2024, athletes participating in the 128th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on behalf of a nonprofit organization raised $45.7 million.

Team Breakthrough T1D is a top performing charity team of runners who are united in the common purpose of creating a world without type 1 diabetes. We offer support through every stage of your training and fundraising. This year, our goal is for each runner to exceed the $10,000 fundraising minimum.

Individuals who have secured their own entry into the race are welcome to join our team at any time. While there is no fundraising minimum, we do have a suggested fundraising goal of $2,000.

Please reach out to Annamaria Lukes at 617-831-1125 or alukes@BreakthroughT1D.org with any questions. Participants will be carefully selected by Breakthrough T1D’s volunteer review committee, and all applicants will be notified of the status of their application the week of Monday, November 25, 2024.

Thank you for your interest in running with Team Breakthrough T1D. We look forward to reviewing your application!
