“Sneakers” by Carmine Billardello | Value: $1,400
Carmine Bilardello received a BFA from Parsons School of Design and studied Fine Art at Adelphi University and Architecture at Oklahoma State University. For 40 years, he worked in interior design, corporate real estate, and art. He also taught drawing and design at Parsons and several other colleges. In 2013, he refocused his efforts to concentrate solely on art. His studio is presently in Florida. Carmine’s work has evolved from controlled Pollock-like abstracts to images of flags, abstract portraits, and hearts. Carmine made this piece specially for Breakthrough T1D after being inspired by the sneaker motif associated with our Breakthrough T1D Walk. Multicolored Sneaker Keychains and Epoxy Resin, 22 x 22″.
