2025 One Night Gala Honorees: Stefany Shaheen and Family

Stefany Shaheen is an advocate, entrepreneur, and business leader. Stefany dedicated herself to making life better for people with diabetes following the diagnosis of her eldest daughter, Elle, with type 1 at age 8. As part of the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) | BioFabUSA team, she is working to realize the promise of regenerative medicine and biomanufacturing to deliver life-changing therapies for the world’s most costly chronic diseases, including diabetes. Stefany co-founded Good Measures, a company harnessing the power of food as medicine. Good Measures, now part of the NationsBenefits family, was awarded a suite of patents by the U.S Patent Office and she is a named inventor. She authored The New York Times bestseller, “Elle & Coach,” about the experience of parenting a child with type 1 diabetes. This also led her to join the Board of Trustees for Joslin Diabetes Center and become involved with Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), where she was the 2011 National Chair of Children’s Congress, served on the Advocacy Committee of the International Board, and is currently a member of the Greater New England Chapter Community Board.
