Breakthrough T1D is excited to have a team hosted by Elizabeth Waine in the 14th Annual Vermont Summer Classic WIFFLE Ball Tournament on August 9 at the Historic Little Fenway Complex in Essex, VT for an exhibition game. Join Team Captain, Elizabeth Waine, for a a fun game and to raise funds to support Breakthrough T1D’s mission, a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
About SLAMT1D
SLAMT1D, Inc. is a nonprofit organization supporting children, families and adults living with T1D. Their tournaments are played with a big time vibe that connect communities and broadens T1D awareness and public involvement; all while empowering people with T1D to live life in full. SLAMT1D supports entire T1D families: spouse, caregivers and siblings. They seek to improve T1D education among school nurses, athletic trainers and coaches and connect T1D patients with game-changing resources. They issue grants and sponsorships to other T1D organizations; help children with T1D to attend camps and participate in sports activities and programs; provide scholarships for student-athletes with T1D; advocate for T1Ders in their communities and for better access to and more affordability of life-sustaining medications such as insulin; promote and support activities and sports programs for student-athletes and adults with T1D.
