Are you on a Tandem pump? Do you find that sometimes you forget to bolus for meals or snacks?
If so, then we have a study that you might want to consider!
Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland and the University of Washington (UW) in Seattle are sites for a study looking at a new investigational closed loop system. This closed loop system, called iPancreas, can detect when you forget to enter a meal bolus and then adjust insulin dosing accordingly. The system uses Fiasp insulin, a faster-acting version of Novolog.
You may be eligible for this study if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Have been using the t:slim X2 pump with Control IQ active for at least 12 weeks
- Have a HbA1c or GMI 7.5% or higher
