Breakthrough T1D PNW offers volunteer opportunities throughout the year where your time, skills, and passion can drive towards exciting advancements in T1D research. Whether you enjoy hands-on event set up or sharing knowledge to those in our community, we welcome volunteers with strengths and interest of all kinds. Outreach Ambassadors
We are in current need of Outreach Ambassadors across our chapter. Outreach Ambassadors play a vital role in supporting the T1D community by being a welcoming first point of connection for those who are newly diagnosed with T1D. These volunteers share first-hand perspectives on life with T1D, provide educational and support resources, and an introduction to their local chapter. Outreach Ambassadors ensure that every Bag of Hope, Teen Care Pack, and Adult Care Pack recipient receives a personal and warm welcome to the Breakthrough T1D family, regardless of where they are in their T1D journey.
Bilingual Outreach Ambassadors (Spanish Speaking)
We are also in strong need of bilingual Outreach Ambassadors, specifically, Spanish speaking, to better connect those Spanish speaking individuals and families within our community. These volunteers ensure families feel understood, informed, and connected from the very beginning. Spanish-speaking Outreach Ambassadors play a critical role in creating an inclusive community where everyone feels supported.
If you think you would be a good fit in either of these Outreach Ambassador roles, please reach out to GreaterNorthwest@BreakthroughT1D.org.
