Founded in 1992 from the endocrinology practice of Dr. Ron Brazg and Dr. Leslie Klaff, Rainier Clinical Research Center (RCRC) is a dedicated clinical trial research site located in Renton, Washington. With more than 700 clinical trials completed over three decades, RCRC has partnered with thousands of study participants and pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies to advance care options, seek medical breakthroughs and improve medical knowledge across a variety of clinical specialties.

As one of the largest and most experienced independent research sites in the country, RCRC boasts an experienced team of physicians, nurses and clinical research coordinators, including Dr. Fran Broyles who recently joined Dr. Brazg as co-medical director.  Dr. Broyles was named a Top Seattle Endocrinologist more than twenty times in her 30-year career at Swedish Medical Center. She served as the Swedish Medical Center Medical Director of the inpatient Glycemic Pathway, the outpatient Diabetes Pathway, the Healthy Weight Initiative, the Pituitary program, and the Minor and James Osteoporosis Program. Dr. Broyles brings invaluable experience to the RCRC team.

With a focus on diabetes research, RCRC has conducted more than fifty type 1 diabetes studies and has helped bring novel therapies for the treatment of type 1 diabetes to market. As a nationally recognized leader in endocrine and diabetes related research, RCRC continually manages multiple diabetes drug and device trials such as one of its actively enrolling type 1 diabetes studies evaluating an investigational medication targeting preservation of pancreatic beta cell function.

Clinical research participants are critical to advancing medical knowledge and improving global health outcomes.  RCRC frequently runs studies for type 1 diabetes, including studies involving continuous glucose monitors, close-looped pump systems, long-acting insulins, and phase 1 pharmaceutical therapeutics.
