Fundraise

Your company will be set up with a personal fundraising page and you will be challenged to raise the most funds for T1D research. The goal for the 2026 Team Fundraising Challenge is to empower each of our participating teams to engage their company by raising $5,000+ to fund research toward a world without T1D! ALL companies and individuals can fundraise in support of the Real Estate Games, even if they are not planning to compete in the day’s activities. The winning team will be awarded the 2026 Fundraising Award when the Challenge closes.

 

Donate to Fund A Cure

Fund A Cure is an opportunity to impact the lives of people with T1D through a 100% tax-deductible donation. Fund A Cure donations will be invested in Breakthrough T1D’s effective and focused research aimed at progressively improving people’s lives until there is a cure.

Fundraising Challenge

From the moment your company signs up to compete in the 2026 Real Estate Games, your team can make an impact! Your company will be set up with a personal fundraising page and you will be challenged to raise the most funds for T1D research. The team who raises the most will receive the 2026 Fundraising Award.

Fundraising Challenge Goal

You don’t just have to be on a team to fundraise, your company, friends, family, and greater community can participate too! The goal for the 2026 Team Fundraising Challenge is to empower each of our participating teams to engage their company and community to raise money which will fund research towards a world without T1D! You can start fundraising as soon as your team is registered and work with your Breakthrough T1D staff partner, Ali Meyers, to set goals and invite coworkers, friends, and family to donate online.  

 

Fundraising Challenge Tip & Tricks  

When trying to find ways to fundraise, try looking into the following: 

• See if your company has a donation match program 

• Reach out to professional contacts like co-workers, company vendors, managers, or professional organizations 

• Reach out to your personal connections like family, friends, or neighbors  

• Reach out to your further community like doctors, lawyers, salons, gyms, or local stores 

• Make a personal donation to your team’s fundraiser 

 

Game Advantages

To help encourage fundraising, teams can earn Game Advantages which can be used day-of at the Real Estate Games to better help the chance of your team winning the overall Games. Teams can unlock these advantages by reaching certain milestones in their fundraising efforts.

• Raise $500+ your team will have a 10 second head start for the Relay Race 

• Raise $1,000+ your team will receive one Chelsea Piers Staff member during Dodgeball  

• Raise $2,000+ your team will receive an additional WIN to their total wins for each additional $2,000 you raise (i.e $2,000 = 1 win, $4,000 = 2 wins, etc.)
