The Breakthrough T1D Orange County Gala will bring together our incredible Orange County type 1 diabetes (T1D) community in support of Breakthrough T1D, the organization that has invested more than $2.7 billion in T1D research since 1970.

Breakthrough T1D is leading the charge toward cures for millions of people — funding groundbreaking research, driving advocacy, and accelerating access to life-changing therapies. Every discovery brings us closer to a world where insulin is no longer a lifeline but a thing of the past.

Founded by parents determined to find a cure for their children, Breakthrough T1D has grown into a powerhouse in the scientific community and a global force for progress – and today, that progress feels closer than ever.

The OC Gala will once again be held on March 13, 2027, at the Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, featuring hosted cocktails, dinner, auctions, and Fund A Cure — where every dollar raised goes directly to research. The evening will honor Dick and Mary Allen for their numerous contributions to Breakthrough T1D and the incredible impact they’ve made in the T1D community.
