Building on the success of last year, Breakthrough T1D is bringing pickleball back to the North Shore! We are excited to host the Breakthrough T1D Dink for Diabetes this coming summer.

Dink for Diabetes will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Danny Cunniff Park in Highland Park, IL and will attract over 500 pickleball players and spectators from across the Chicagoland area. With the popularity of last year’s tournament and the growing interest in pickleball, we expect this event to sell out.

Through Dink for Diabetes, you will be able to join a fun day of friendly competition. This event also creates an opportunity for you to invite your employees, friends and family to participate and rally together in support of a common mission—creating a world without T1D.

Breakthrough T1D-funded research encompasses T1D at every life stage: stopping its progression in people who are newly diagnosed; reversing it in those who have lived with the disease for years; avoiding or reversing complications; and preventing the disease in people at risk. The time is now to work together, so we can deliver better treatments to ease the daily burden of the disease until there is a cure. We cannot do it alone.
