The Breakthrough T1D Illinois Young Leadership Committee (YLC) is a group of young business and civic professionals actively supporting Breakthrough T1D and type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

The YLC is affiliated with the Breakthrough T1D Illinois Chapter, the largest income-producing chapter worldwide. Our members have unique ties to T1D – many live with it, others are connected through friends or family, and some simply have a passion for the cause.

About the 2026 One Party

Since 2008, the YLC has raised more than $475,000 for critical T1D research through their signature fundraising events such as the One Party, which brings together more than 200 of Chicago’s premier young professionals for a night of cocktails, Hors d’oeuvres, auctions, entertainment, networking, and much more.
