It has been 46 years since my Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) diagnosis at age 7. My family and I have worked tirelessly over the years to help find a cure to this disease. The support of friends and family has made a huge difference – guiding technological innovations that helped me and countless others support scientific breakthroughs that provided insulin independence for numerous patients in clinical trials. 

On May 30th, I will be participating and helping to organize the 4th annual Breakthrough T1D Dink for Diabetes Pickleball Tournament at Danny Cunniff Park in Highland Park. This year’s event is under new tournament direction and promises to provide a wonderful experience for all who participate.
