It has been 20 years since Jack’s Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) diagnosis. The memory remains vivid for our family as we remember a time BEFORE and AFTER T1D changed Jack’s life. We have worked hard over the years to strive for a cure and know that the support of our friends and family has made a difference – guiding technological innovations that have helped Jack and scientific breakthroughs that have provided insulin independence for some patients in clinical trials. On May 30th, I will be participating and helping to organize the 4th annual Breakthrough T1D Dink for Diabetes Pickleball tournament to be held at Danny Cunniff Park in Highland Park. This year’s event is under new tournament direction and promises to provide a wonderful experience for all who participate .
