The Breakthrough T1D Illinois Young Leadership Committee (YLC) is a group of young business and civic professionals who actively support Breakthrough T1D and type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

The YLC is affiliated with the Breakthrough T1D Illinois Chapter, the largest income-producing chapter worldwide. Our members have unique ties to T1D – many live with it, others are connected through friends or family, and some simply have a passion for the cause. The common thread: we all want to turn type one into type none.

Why it Matters
The Breakthrough T1D Illinois YLC seeks to:

1. Create awareness of T1D among the Chicagoland area
2. Raise money to fund critical T1D research
3. Build a strong network for years of ongoing T1D funding, support, and education

We need involvement and support from Chicagoland business, civic, and community leaders to help us create awareness, increase membership, and continue to raise funds for vital T1D research. It is with this support that we move closer to creating a world without T1D.
