Life with Diabetes Meeting

Life is busy because Christmas is right around the corner; sadly diabetes won’t get to take a back seat to all your plans. I know I asked for CURE FOR DIABETES on my letter to Santa; hopefully he can grant that! Until then I will keep encouraging and helping those like my family that have daily struggles and concerns with diabetes. My struggle right now is helping my son somewhat from a distance, because he is 18 years old. Peyton has had diabetes longer in his life than he hasn’t, he was diagnosed when he was 7 years old and him and I are still trying to figure doses, food, activity, ECT.
Everyone needs someone who has been there and done that, that is why him and I have started this support group since last January. Please come and be encouraged and encourage those around you in the community until Santa grants our wish—-A LIFE WITHOUT TYPE 1 DIABETES.

Our guest speaker is Nikki from Mathes Pharmacy in New Albany, she is a pharmacist and runs the Diabetes Center in Mathes Pharmacy. The Diabetes Center has had a tremendous positive impact on our lives, and still does till this day.
