About Birdie

Hi! I’m Birdie.

I’m 5 years old and I love art, coloring, and drawing especially making bright, colorful pictures with my imagination. I love to laugh, make other people laugh, and dance whenever I hear music.

I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 4, and it’s something I live with every day. Even when things feel hard, I try to be brave, keep smiling, and do the things that make me happy.

I’m proud to be a Youth Ambassador for Breakthrough T1D. I like helping people learn about type 1 diabetes and showing other kids and families that they are not alone.
