About Brayden

Brayden is a Type 1 diabetes warrior and a proud ambassador for the Breakthrough T1D Gala. He was diagnosed at 9 years old, and life changed in an instant. Living with Type 1 diabetes means constant monitoring, finger pokes, pump changes, sensor changes, counting carbs, sleepless nights, persistent vigilance, and learning how to manage blood sugars that can swing without warning.

But more than anything, it means incredible courage! Every single day, Brayden faces challenges most adults couldn’t imagine, and he does it with bravery and resilience that humbles us. He inspires us, and he teaches us what real strength looks like. While diabetes is a part of his life, it does not define him — his strength, courage, and joyful spirit do.

We are learning and adjusting every day, but living with this disease is hard. It’s relentless and there are no days off. While insulin keeps him alive, it’s not a cure. That is why we are committed to raising funds to support research that will lead to better treatment, device advancements, and ultimately A CURE!

As an ambassador, Brayden helps remind others why research, advocacy, and community support matter so deeply. Every day, he manages countless decisions and responsibilities that come with T1D, all while being a kid who loves to learn, play, and dream big.

Through sharing his story, he hopes to inspire hope, raise awareness, and help move us closer to a future without Type 1 diabetes.

Let’s show Brayden and every T1D warrior that they are not alone in this fight. Whether you attend the Gala, donate, or simply share our story, your support means everything!
