Breakthrough T1D Community Summit | Syracuse

We are excited for your child to join us for our children’s program during the Syracuse Community Summit! Individual check-in and Children’s check-in will take place from 9:00am-9:50am.

We are thrilled to have volunteers from Camp Healthy Hope running our Children’s Program at this event!

What will my child do during the children’s program?

The children will explore the museum and different exhibits from 10am until 11:40am. Children will be brought to the theatre by our volunteers and then sat with their parents for the final session.

Where will my child be during the program?

Children will be visiting different exhibits in the museum depending on their interests. Children will not be leaving the museum at any time.

When can I check on my child?

Anytime. You can pull your child from the children’s program at any time, please alert a volunteer before taking your child.

Can my child listen in on the presentation if they do not want to do the children’s program?

Absolutely! If you take your child from the children’s program, just make sure to let one of the volunteers know!

What happens if my child’s blood sugar is high or low during the program?

Our volunteers will have snacks on them at all times. Parents will be contacted via the child’s identification bracelet immediately if a blood sugar reads low or high. The volunteers are NOT allowed to administer any insulin.
