More Info
On behalf of the family and friends of Christopher Wallace, CSL Plasma, The Capital City Renegades Disc Golf Club, and Delta Township Grand Woods Park, we want to thank you for your interest in participating in the First Annual “Beat It” Disc Golf Tournament held at Grand Woods Park on July 29th. All proceeds will be donated directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Christopher Wallace was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes at 4 years old. By fourth grade he was teaching the teachers and students at his school about Juvenile Diabetes so there was better understanding of the battles he faced. Chris spent over 30 years battling Type 1 Diabetes and educating others about his condition. Christopher endured needle poke after needle poke, and hospital stay after hospital stay, but always remained hopeful that he could receive a new pancreas. When Chris wasn’t contending with appointments and hospital stays Chris’s passion was Disc Golf and spending time with his family, God Daughter, and close friends. Sadly, Christopher passed away in November of 2017 in hospice surrounded by his closest friends and family. Your participation in this event commemorates his love for the game, for life, and for finding a cure for T1D.
Individual registration: $30 per person / $100 for team of four
