Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) Mid-Atlantic is excited to offer virtual and in-person meet ups and educational events to support our local T1D community. We offer T1D support and networking programs for newly diagnosed families and individuals, parents of children with T1D, and adults with T1D, as well educational sessions on research, advocacy, virtual fundraising, and more. Bridging the Gap – T1D Teen Connections Group
Teens ages 13-18 with T1D are invited to join these quarterly virtual calls to connect with other teens and talk openly about the challenges and triumphs of living with T1D. Contact Jess Allston for more information or click the dates to register: April 8, May 14.
Greater Blue Ridge Area T1D Support Group (IN-PERSON)
This support group meets at Carilion Children’s at Tanglewood Mall in Roanoke, VA and is open to anyone living with or affected by T1D. Youth activities and childcare are available. Each meeting will feature a special guest speaker or topic. Sign up to be added to the support group mailing list. Upcoming dates: January 16, February 10, March 18, May 14, June 16.
Richmond T1D Meet-Up (IN PERSON)
